Landfills in the spotlight

The disposal of waste and the resulting issues and discussions on landfills are among the most important but also highly sensitive issues within industrialised societies. This makes it all the more important to gain an unbiased view of how waste is actually disposed of and deposited. On the one hand, the extensive rules and regulations are of help here. But more can be learned when visiting a landfill site or through pictures and films. Because these practical impressions reflect reality and contribute to a better understanding of the topic.

Landfill operators are particularly committed to environmental and resource protection and thus to securing the future of a modern society. The example of a functioning cooperation between private and public waste management: the Kapiteltal landfill as a joint landfill project of REMEX and the Zentrale Abfallwirtschaft Kaiserslautern (ZAK).

Construction and operation at ZDH landfill

Zentraldeponie Hubbelrath GmbH (ZDH), a joint company of AWISTA and REMEX, ensures the safe disposal of low-contaminated waste from Düsseldorf and the surrounding region. The joint film by REMEX and ZDH, which captured the entire landfill by means of a drone, provides an insight into operation and landfill construction.
